The accuracy requirements of the installation datum are reduced: a V-shaped roller in the V-shaped guide roller guide rail system is equivalent to a slider of the ball guide rail, and the contact between the V-shaped roller and the V-shaped guide rail surface is only equivalent to the contact between a steel ball and the guide rail surface; thus, the accuracy requirements of the installation datum surface are greatly reduced, and the assembly is time-saving and labor-saving.
The cost of maintenance and replacement is lower: V-guide roller guide system can replace the worn guide rail or roller independently without replacing all of them; on site, through the adjustment of eccentric roller, it is convenient to adjust and get the required preload. Therefore, the maintenance and replacement cost of roller guide is lower.
Longer service life: the roller guide rail has a much longer service life than the roller bearing. In many cases, only the roller needs to be replaced, and then the required preload can be obtained by adjusting the eccentricity of the eccentric roller. The ball guide, no matter the ball or guide wear to a certain extent, in order to ensure the preload or clearance required by the application, a complete set of replacement is required. Generally speaking, the track is the longest life component in the whole linear motion system; if the ball guide is used, the track must be changed when changing the slider; for the roller guide in good working condition, only the roller can be changed.
