Generally , 46-80 grit size ginding wheels are used coarse grinding, 150-240 grit size grinding wheels are used for fine grinding. W10-W7 grit size resin graphite grinding wheels are used for mirror grinding to obtain much better surface roughtness of the workpiece.

Normally the workpiece will have a requirement of roughness on the surface.
